The graph in the pictures shows the before and after performance of my Dometic fridge in a Jayco Penguin while running on 240v. I’ve marked the point on the graph where the fans were installed. The internal fridge temperature stayed below 5 degrees after the fans were installed and this was at up to 41 degrees ambient, running on 240v!

NOTE: This was our fridge & represents the best possible results. Results WILL vary from fridge to fridge.

The fans don’t cause any issues with the flame when the fridge is operating on gas.

Installation is as simple as: 

1. Removing the vent.

2. Mounting the fans & PCB mounting with ZIP-TIES.

3. Connecting the fans to your van battery management system.

4. Refitting the vent with the fans fitted.

The controller automatically turns the fans on when the temperature reaches the chosen trigger point.

Important Notes!

These fans require extra room behind the vent to enable them to fit.

To determine what fan kit you require, follow the steps below:

• Measure the distance from the outside wall of the van, inwards, as per the picture below.

• Identify what vent you have fitted to your van, by counting the slots & checking what the vent dimensions are.

• The table to the RHS of the picture shows the minimum depth required for the various vent types & the type of fans (standard or slim)

EG: If you have a Dometic 8 slot vent (brand in top middle of vent), you’ll require 58mm of depth for standard fans & 49mm depth if “Slim fans” are selected.

PLEASE NOTE! Triple fans will ONLY fit the Dometic & Thetford LARGE vents!

• This fan system is designed to fit any vent type. Fans are 120mm square & there are two. Some extra room is required to mount the quick connect board as it is 30mm high at its highest point.

• The vents shown in the pictures are not supplied. The fans supplied in the kit are ZIP-TIED to your existing vent.

• Installation of these fans is simple, but a power supply is required for them to operate. Wiring will need to be installed from the van electrical system to the vent. 4 meters of wire is included.

• We don't recommend connecting directly to the battery as this will bypass any battery low voltage protection devices in your van.

• If you are unsure how to install this wiring, please consult with your local auto electrician or caravan repair shop.
